back to Jimmy's Bio
Below are some outside projects I have been involved in over the past year. All of which I never had to leave my studio to take part in.
These were all done with other players I met thru Guitar War and we exchanged tracks over the web and put together some killer tunes!
Technology is so freaking amazing!!
I don't even know the real names of most of these cats since we all used alias' on the Guitar War site but their playing is beyond incredible!
These are all players from the Great Lone Star State of Texas. We thought it would be cool to show the diverse talent from all of us Cowboys out here in the plains! LOL!

These are all Monster Shred guys from all over the world that I was humbled to have the chance to record with.
Justin John Wakely is a monster player from England, StringSavvy is a top session player from the North East, NY / NJ area, Left Hand Hack is from down south in Alabama I think and Mercury Series is a Young Gun from Brazil!
How Cool is that!
We recorded several smoking tunes!

Twisted Sixths
This was just me and Justin. He takes the first minute of the song and then we trade back and fourth every other phrase for the rest of the tune. Once you listen to it a few times, it's pretty easy to determine who's playing what.

Cryin' Mad (Jimmy's solo)
This solo was my tribute to White Lion Guitarist Vito Bratta. His melodic use of tapping was amazing. Not just the triplet (de-da-de de-da-de) style that everyone else was doing back then.
Cryin' Mad (backing track)
This was a tune I did with an Acoustic Fingerstyle virtuoso from Florida named Steven Ravitz .
It really surprised me when he sent this tune to ma and asked if I could throw something on top of it.
It took me almost two weeks of listening to it and jamming along with it to come up with something.
It seemed so full and perfect the way it was and I didn't want to detract the amazing acoustic work that was there.
I recorded my part and Steven loved it. I'm glad. This was a lot of fun to do and really pushed me to some new areas.
I'm really happy with the Slide part at the end.
